President Obama recently notified Americans to hold him accountable if the $787 billion stimulus bill fails to put an end to the U.S. economic crisis. President Obama's show of accountability comes on the heels of his move to impose a $500,000 pay cap on some senior executives whose companies received emergency funds from the government. He did so after Americans became outraged over the executives’ decision to reward themselves with lavish bonuses, among other questionable choices.
